Unlike many pubs with a high class food offering we don't forget what makes us tick. A proper village pub serving proper beer, properly.

The pub is the hub, and is used by a large percentage of village residents, church groups, investment clubs, bakers, builders, bankers, doctors, dentists, teachers, parents, pilots and just about everyone else. It is the heart of our community.

Our friendly, old fashioned bar is open to all and has a log fire in winter, skittles, dominoes, shove ha'penny, cards, chess, scrabble & puzzles as well as a quiz machine for entertainment. We don't have piped music, although sometimes the news or maybe the F1 might be on the television.

We have free WiFi and offer sandwiches in the bar at lunchtimes for those who wish to dine less formally.

There are a selection of food magazines, cookbooks, reference books & newspapers in both the Bar & Restaurant area. We also have a large car park and whilst we have a beer garden it is mid renovation and generally used to grow herbs & vegetables for the restaurant.

We specialise in drinks a little out of the ordinary, Imported Pilsners, Local Cider from Virtual Orchard in Wolverton Mill & Woughton Orchard and up to 4 changing Real Ales, a selection of fine malt whiskies and premium spirits are also on offer.
